Applications Are Open!
Sybal Heim is now open for our second wave of applicants!
First, though, we have a very important announcement to make. We'd like to thank everyone who applied for the mod post; we had some excellent applications.
After a great deal of consideration, we are pleased to announce the newest member of the mod team. Please welcome...
Minister of Heiros
Before the end of September, we will also be approaching a few individuals to be Constables—sub-moderators, who will assist as community managers and event coordinators.
We will be accepting submissions from September 1st to September 30th!
Currently, we are uncertain of how many new members we will accept, but are planning for a minimum of 15 new members per faction—at least 30 in total.
When you've checked the How To Join journal and are ready to apply, submit your character sheet to our App Submissions folder. The folder has been emptied, so if you’re reapplying you’ll need to resubmit your character.
Once submitted, your character will be reviewed and accepted into the gallery folder by a mod. We may ask for details to be clarified or tweaked to comply with the group’s setting. If you’re unsure of your character, feel free to ask for an app check.
Similarly, don’t be afraid to ask any questions! We will respond to Group Notes ASAP and at least one mod will (usually) be present in the Sybal Heim Chat if you have questions, ideas, or want to talk.
Feel free to roleplay in the chat or in private. However, until members are officially accepted we ask that no RPs or art involving applicant characters be submitted to the gallery.
Things To Consider
We loved the energy and enthusiasm from our first wave of applicants! However, we got a LOT of characters from Europe, East Asia, and the colonial New World.
That’s fine, and we understand that this is more familiar territory to a lot of our applicants, but we implore applicants to consider other parts of the world. We’d love to see more characters from the Middle East, Africa, Central and Southeast Asia, Oceania, the pre-colonial Americas...
Please don’t limit yourself by what’s most familiar!
If you’re unsure of where to start, want someone to bounce ideas off of, or would like sources for research, we’re here to help.
Have fun, and we look forward to your characters!
